MY Cervantino! pt. 1

~You don't see life how it is... you see life how you are!----(i forgot who said that)
...That was a quote from the last (and my only) class they gave at the Cervantino Camp that really spoke to me. So as my opening, I will relate to you how My Cervantino was :D (ahem so you might see how I was...)
Firstly... Cervantino is a yearly arts festival held in honor of Miguel de Cervantes in the city of Guanajuato here in Mexico lasting a whole month. People from all over the world come to see it.
Secondly.... TFI members organized something very similar to a camp... we all took tents and camped out in a campground away from the city... arghh vut the crao righto? I'm sure you're all dying to see the pictures well ... I won't stop you!
day 1 for me resume:
I finished my tests, went to pack, travelled to Gto., We got lost downtown, met up with TFI members, did free hugging, went back to camp, stayed at the bonfire till 6 am, 1 hour and a half of cold, miserable, and painful sleeping... once the sun came up... I sunbathed....

Tech Support

Why is it called "Technical Support" if technically they really can't 'support' me....?
No I'm serious! I was off limits on the internet for a bit... A bout a week or so ago we called our phone company to change our original modem which had been giving us too many problems. A day later they gave us the new one and well I was a bit over frustrated as our newly adquired modem was not exactly working. So I called in for help and this is how it went when I called Tech support:

Him... "Hello this is ---- thank you for calling out tech support, to whom am I speaking?"
 "Um hi this is (me)"
"Hello miss, can i help you?"
No shit! what do you think I called for? to say hi or something? "Yeah our newly adquired modem isn't working properly"
"Yes, can you tell me the model number and name?"
Rolls eyes "Yeah its ----"
"Alright, before I start can I ask what your phone number is? So I can check your line in case of any abnormalities."
Oh, dare you try to call me and I'll have you fired "It's ------"
"Aside from your (company name) email adress, do you have another email I could send information to?"
Yah well not like I can get your emails anyways if my STUPID INTERNET IS NOT WORKING!! "Um yah, it's ---------."
"Ok i need you to navigate to (such and such page)"
Um... I just said there's no internet... are you deaf or something? "Alright." (I do as I'm told and hey there is such an offline page... A user/password pop up window appears...) "Ahem... it seems like I'm in need of a user and its password."
"Yes, use ---- user and ----- password and let me know when you go in"
I go in. "Ok, I'm in."
(Anyways after trying and again for him to figure out what the problem was and nothing seemed to be working...)
A few minutes later.... -him- "Ok it seems like you need to restart your modem, please insert a pin right where the 'restart' button is. This may take a few seconds"
I do so... "Ok... its not working"
...And more minutes later....
"Ok there seems to be a problem wiht your (another) new user account and password, it seems to take about 10 minutes so the systems can figure it out. I will call you when we do."
-sigh- and an angry face "Alright."
5 minutes later the phone rings....
"Hello this is ----- calling you from tech support"
Rolls eyes. "Yes this is (me)."
"Alright we have just tested your account and your password in a lab here and it seems to be working right. you can now try once more."
Grrrrr "Ok." -silence- "It's not working."
""Ok, let me go check (somewhere else) why."
Stupid idiots why can't they just fix it! seriously! "sure..."
So the man puts me on hold and I'm wating.... for what seems like a long, long time....
He's back... "Yes, there seems to be a problem..." (DEAR TOMATOES, SERIOUSLY?!) "...and I will have to go down to central to see why you're not getting our signal. The service will be available from 24 thru 72 hours from now."
DUDE! I DON'T HAVE 24 HOURS!"Um... ok..."
"Is there anythign else I can help you with?"
If you couldn't help me with this, you really can't help me at all! So let me get this straight.... "So there will be no internet service for the next 24 thru 72 hours??!" sound desperate...
"No miss, but you can always use the "Dial-up" service, only that will cut your phone line."
Well, will you tell me something I don't already know?! "um... ok."
"And remember there are over 2000 free wi-fi spots scattered all over Mexico, all you have to do is find one near you and access freely with your new account and password"
-sigh- seriously? you want me to get out of my cozy warm house to find a wi-fi hotsopt in the middle of the freezing night? "Um... ok..."
"So is there anything else I can assist you with?"
Are you serious? anything ELSE? what did you help me with? "Erm... no."
-silence- "Are you sure?"
Heck yeah I'm sure! right now I want to just hang up on you for not halping me at all! "Yes, I am sure. Thank you."
"Alright well, I can help you by tutoring you around finding another way to connect to the internet..."
Ugh, will he ever hang up? "No, thank you."
"Alright miss, thank you for calling our tech support, have good night"
"Yeah..." whatever....

Ok that did not go so well ... when I hung up I was even more annoyed at the Good-for-nothing phone company...
Eventually our phone line was restored... and thankfully I was not here for the week it did not work yaay! :P as of now... I still think we need another phone company :D

A little more...

This is a prayer from me to my most beloved in the universe. After a few issues I had with some people at an event I found out I needed some attitude adjustment and I just can't do that by myself.... so I wrote this, from my heart to his!

A Little More

Jesus, please help me to be....

A little more patient, a bit more meek;
a little less selfish, a bit more sweet.
A little more loving, a bit more kind,
a little less doubtful; please give me your mind.

A little more warm, a bit less sane,
a little more thoughtful; a bit less vain.
A little more brigther for the world to see;
a little more of you and a bit less of me.
~Ester

More art...

A couple of weeks ago i took some time to get back to my art... it had been quite some time and it really helped to get my mind out of the rubble it had been in... yes, i think drawing is like a therapy and for me specially ... who at all times have so much in my mind... it gave me some(one) thing to concentrate on for a bit .... and now for the grand masterpiece.....

So far it has been the best drawing I've ever done! and tho it did take some time, it was completely worth it :)

True Story

Guaranteed to make you smile... especially since its a true story.

On July 20, 1969, as commander of the apollo 11 Lunar Module, Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon. His first words, after stepping on the moon, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind," were televised to earth and heard by millions.
But just before he reentered the lander he made the enigmatic remark "Good luck Mr. Gorsky."
Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet cosmonaut. However, upon checking, there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or American Space Programs.
Over the years many people questioned Armstrong as to what the "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky" statement meant, but Armstrong always just smiled.
On July 5, 1995, in Tampa Bay, Florida, while answering questions following a speech, a reporter brought up the 26-year old question to Armstrong.
This time he finally responded. Mr. Gorsky had died, so Neil Armstrong felt he could answer the question.
In 193 when he was a kid in a small midwest town, he was playing baseball with a friend in the backyard. His friend hit the ball, which landed in his neighbors yard by the bedroom windows. His neighbors were Mr. and Mrs. Gorsky. As he leaned down to pick up the ball, young Armstrong heard Mrs. Gorsky shouting at Mr. Gorsky. "SEX! YOU WANT SEX?! You'll get sex when the kid next door walks on the moon!!!"

Charles Schultz Philosophy

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz , the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read  straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world .

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America Contest.

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. They are not second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school...

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?
I love this!

The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are NOT the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones who care.

"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today.
It's already tomorrow in Australia ..."
